Happy to announce the SALALAH Cycling Sportive:-
People wanting to go should email John on johnedwards@slb.com to confirm their bikes on Frans’ trailer, on the drive from Muscat to Salalah etc. (16 bikes max), also for him to ALSO inform the hotel who is coming.
Below are the 3 items to know for Salalah:
(1) Assume approximately 50 OMR/cycle for all associated costs of transporting the bikes by road from Muscat, and between rides on the three days, night Storage if required, for fuel, the driver charge and driver’s hotel, also bringing the bikes back to Muscat..... waw a Good price; and the truck has proper fittings (See Pic: SLL Truck.... and John). Once John confirms you, pls pay this RO.50 to John, max by the time you reach Salalah day 1.
(2) We have a block booking at the Salalah Crown Plaza, @ RO.40 per room per night including breakfast. Book and Payment directly to the hotel pls and ask for airport pickup. Crowne Plaza proposal
(3) John and wife Paula have booked their flights as:
departing 26th Sep WY 911, 18:40 – 20:15
returning 29th Sep WY 910, 18:05 – 19:40
the others can try to get on these same flights, if possible. (Pay directly your travel agent or airline).

The Weather forcast is max 28deg. Now, depending on who comes, we will organize different rides. The support trailer will always be with us. You will be joined by the Salalah road bikers. The Muscat Mountain bikers can ride with the Salalah Mountain bikers.
